Founded in 2000 as a constructive post-political challenge to the current closed-loop, special interest driven, Democrat vs Republican duopoly of power, the Independent Party of Delaware (IPoD) is the First State's alternative to politics-as-usual.  

In contrast to parties that tell people what to think, the IPoD  proactively encourages people to THINK creatively in search of practical solutions to our common problems in the greater public interest. 

Accordingly, the Independent Party of Delaware provides FREE BALLOT ACCESS to qualified candidates, in contrast to the exorbitant and outrageous filing fees routinely charged by the so-called "major " parties, in an effort to affect a government more closely representative of the People instead of the entrenched special interest groups favored according to the so-called "Delaware Way" of status quo politics. 

The IPoD's platform of basic government reform is designed to place more power in the hands of the People, from whom it ultimately stems in the first place.  Despite all obstacles, the IPoD is the third largest and most rapidly growing party in Delaware, and we invite you to join us in advancement of individual freedom towards a greater future for all Delawareans.
