Chair - Ben Woratyla
Originally from Lancaster, PA, Ben crossed state lines in 2010 to attend the University of Delaware. He graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelors in Biological Sciences in 2014, earning the General Honors Award from the University Honors College and induction into Phi Beta Kappa and Phi Kappa Phi National Honors Societies. The day following commencement, Ben drove to training to begin work as a sales rep in the bioscience industry and has been working within the Obgyn/Women's Health space for the past 12 years.
Outside of work, Ben can be found fixing something (or at least attempting to) in one of his vacation rental properties at the beach, reviewing purchase orders for his e-commerce business, discussing plans for growing IPoD with the Board, going to the gym, connecting with family, or updating this website.
Ben enjoys solving problems for the sake of the problem being solved, the card game '24', and the quote "Individuals are who they choose to become" - (a phrase taped to a door in Wolf Hall across from where he frequently waited for a professor that was always a few minutes late).
Ben views this American experiment as a balancing act. A balance between liberty and a practical need for government, economic growth and consumer protection, fairness and personal responsibility, freedom and regulation.
As Chair, Ben views his role more as a couch. "Host", or "Moderator," would be preferred over "President" and "CEO."
It's been very promising to see how often people at opposite ends of the couch actually agree, once they sit down and talk...
We just can't stay seated for too long - there are many important problems needing solved and it is time to stand up.
